OUR STORY
We’re two nature-loving souls who have chosen to live in the countryside by choice. A place where eggs don’t have stamps and organic produce needs no label. Where foraging and making things yourself are part of everyday life, and the main question is, “Are there enough empty jars?”
Living and growing alongside nature, we have discovered sourdough. By creating new connections with old traditions, we have come back to the art of naturally leaven bread.
A small bakery in Türi is a place where breads are made using classical methods, from the finest local organic flour and natural sourdough. We know that every product can be both delicious and nourishing. Our mission is to offer handcrafted baked goods that are not only incredibly tasty, but also support the health of the local community.
We are incredibly grateful and happy that you have found us.
To new flavors!
STARTER
The beauty of sourdough starter lies in the fact that it is alive. Every starter is completely unique, with its own distinctive aroma and flavor. The micro-ecosystem that develops in each starter is the result of numerous environmental factors—starting with the soil in which the grain was grown and ending with the air in the starter’s home.
Leavening with sourdough gives us a more gut-friendly bread that is easier to digest. The lactic acid bacteria active in the starter do their best to help our bodies absorb as many nutrients as possible from the bread.
We have returned to the wonderful way of making bread—using sourdough starter.
FLOUR
Kõik meie küpsetised valmivad 100% mahejahudest. Meie rukkileivad valmivad puhtalt Eestimaisest mahejahust.
For us, both naturally grown food and an ecological footprint matter. This means only one thing: the ingredients must be grown organically and as close to home as possible.
Although our climate isn’t the most favorable for growing many types of plants, we are still able to source the majority of our bread ingredients from Estonia. We are fortunate to have many farmers who continue the tradition of local agriculture.
So, by enjoying Samliku Pekkeri’s baked goods, you are also supporting Estonian grain farmers.
What people are saying
I just wanted to share my delighted feeling when your bread is right under my nose and I’ve already eaten half of it, and after that, I quietly go on breaking off little pieces. During a period of my own tiredness and the responsibilities I’ve taken on, your bread has been a such a joy for me. Thank you!
Delicious twists, honestly, and just the right size too.
Thank you, the seed bread was excellent—it was very much enjoyed by an 88-year-old gentleman, and the cardamom buns as well.
Good morning!
The seed bread is excellent but today it was extra wonderful.
Of course big sourdough loaf!
Smaller is not going to last for long.

First of all, a big thank you for the sourdough starter! It works perfectly — yeast dough is now a thing of the past.
Thank you, Samliku Pekker! The breads have arrived safely and we’ve already tasted them — all incredibly delicious. Our special favorites are the seed bread and the buckwheat loaf. When we’re in your area again, we’ll definitely order again. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! I’ve now hidden half of the bread so there’s some left for tomorrow.
